So last night, my LOVELY neighbor and her delightful husband invited us to dinner al fresco in their yard…Deb lived up to her reputation for being a natural born whiz in the kitchen, (as usual) and Jim, the perfect compliment in his supernatural grilling abilities. DS made perfcet chimichuri right before my eyes, along with warm potato salad and a little plate of ricotta drizzled with agave nectar + olive oil, while jim grilled a fat steak and a bunch of beautiful veg.
For desert we had Creme de Cassis and macarons from Bouchon which I am now enjoying for breakfast on Deb’s insistence. Couldn’t have better neighbors, or a nicer cool May morning to enjoy. And to top it off, Stumptown beans are now available blocks away…
