picking…

mostly lighting as favorites this year @ ICFF

but there were also some surprisingly lovely new additions and of course old faves.

Richard Watson

Wallplates from Upwell

Pendants from Token

Everything @ Søren Rose Studio (for De La Spada) looks super – especially this

Egg Collective was so fresh and lovely (thank you Brooklyn). Their cards were also done perfectly

the Bensen Morgan couch caught my eye

Lindsay Adelman‘s pop-up workshop was fun — and the new porcelain shade is incredibly beautiful. Reminds me a little of Ken Gangbar’s work

and finally Studio Dunn had a very smart looking little collection this year — with SUCH a well done letterpressed takeaway I want to keep it forever. The Narragansett Bowls were my favorite.

1. Stickbulb [the best thing at the show this year in my opinion]

2. Apparatus  – [Vanity Sconce]

3. Roll and Hill - [Rudi]

visiting…

one of the first brick and mortar

Aesop

shops in the states.

Enjoying the handiwork of Jeremy Barbour [for Tacklebox] the gentleman who gave us the architecture for my ultimate fantasy business, the lovely Saipua,

and slathering myself with the best and least affordable hand lotion on the planet.

Fun to finally have a couple of Aesops in NYC!

learning…

that my new obsession

[other than the 3 month old]

is a Walentas project

designed by

Morris Adjmi

these beautiful renderings are the handiwork of

the talented

David Huang

so VERY excited about this building. It stands out as a beacon of good taste in the midst of the onslaught of horrifying new construction.

getting my arse up to see

McQueen

[Savage Beauty]

and yes, it was completely magic.

The Pepper’s Ghost Technique (a hologram of Kate Moss) was an exhibit gem. A device that gives the illusion of a spirit, sometimes used in séances in the nineteenth century (so cool!)

This time the magic of the PNW is right in our own East Village.
